Point of Contact 15mm Sherman review

Well it has been kinda crazy for me over the past few weeks.I have been building models,trying to work on lists and doing a decent amount of wheeling and dealing for models and parts.Last week a friend bought him some P.oc. Shermans for his 101st.airborne.Actually the Airborne are my old ones and he added some of the newer kits that he pick up for the Nuts book.So we traded for some of his warhammer Fantasy models.I then flipped them so i could Start on my 4th Armor division list.So since i have a game this week against my brothers Soviet Guards company.I took him up on his offer to use them.
 So after awhile we got to taloking about the overall models themselves and overall not that bad but they needed some help. First was the Barrels,they are short and thick.They appered to be more of a 105 Sherman barrel.So first thing was to change the barrels.I had some extra ones lying around my bits box,that i thought they would fit nicely.Next is the lip on the Tank where as Battle fronts are sloped theese have a lip so i had add some stowage to them to help camo the lip.
 Next conversion is turning a couple of them into 105 Shermans.Pretty much a easy one here.Add some stowage to the lip and figure out what to use for the Box that is added to the back for the turret.
  But overall 5 for 20$ not bad.They need a little touch up paint and a little extra work.but if you are on tight budget they are worth the money.
  First pik is of the Shermans,left one is a Brit open fire Sherman hull,BAttlefront Sherman right is my POC conversion.
  Second is the stock POC shermans,notice the lip on the front and the Barrel difference.
    Third pik is of  a 105 Bf 105 Sherman that i trying to make.Mainly the turret will be the conversion.

I have been posting alot of stuff on G plus now. So the blog has been neglected. But

Bllod Bowl!

With the Possibilty of a nice new shiny Blood Bowl 25th birthday set being released this Fall.I think i will be dusting off my Goblin team,Daskidmarks and prepping them for a Dungeon Bowl event. So here in the next day or two ill post up some piks of the team.

BAttle report,TAnkovy vs. IV PAnzer Corps.

                                                                

Here is some piks of the battle. ,Some how the download got messed up.First pik is of the occupied Soviet Village.Volkstrum Guarding the Artillery Battery.Germans make their assault into the Village with Recon leading the way.Exposing the Soviet Decoy Squad of Spets.With the Tigers Leading the Heads and PAnthers thru the right Flanking down the Road.The SS make a break thru.After a few artillery BArrages the Spets try to make a counter attack aimed at breaking thru to the Artillery battery.but tghey are stopped by Stug counter attack.With both Flanks crushed the Soviet defenders are forced to Withdraw from thge village.Seeing the Enemy withdrawing made the SS Commander quite happy seeing the destroyed KV-1s

Tigers and Panthers oh my...

Here is the almost finished piks of the Tigers and PAnthers for my 12thSS and or IV Panzer Corps.I got the Commanders done finally HAns and the Conversion Tiger Tank are done.

Generic do it yourself Roads part one Dirt.

I tried my luck on marking some homemade roads for our table.First thing was decieding on what to use for the base.I went with 1/4 inch Balsa wood planks,rectangular 6 to 8 inches in length. The balsa wood is better than foam board because of the warpage and weight,.first thing was cleaning them up of splinters preping them for the Drywall spackle. I then applied the spackle going length wise.I then let them sit until 3/4 of way dry.I tok a tank and imprinted the traxs and used a piant brush end to add ruts for tires. i then let it sit overnite and in the morning base coated it with black let it dry then painted it a dirt brown. let the paint dry and the flocked and sealed.Finished.  Next part will be paved and Gravel roads.

I will be posting some BAttle reports tommorrow.i been busy editing the piks.First one will be of SS PAnzer Corps with Volkstrum allies  vs. Soviet Guards tank company. 2nd one is of American Glider Infantry vs. 12th SS . The thrid is a rematch of the SS PAnzer corp. vs. Soviet guard tankers.Also will be sharing some updated piks of my painting and terrain projects. i just got hired by some one to build them a Urban Battleboard for 40k.Also would anyone be up for joining a Dungeon bowl or a Blood bowl online league?
