Nice new sculpts  and as always from Khurasan top notch sculpts.Theese will be handy especially if you dont want to buy a BF Blister and just need a few bases for a recon platoon. Now i am going to be so broke by theese guys andill probably pick up some more TAliban and Hummers.( K ummers are top notch metal sculpts)

15mm Cold War Gone hot update.

I finally got my orders in and i have ordered more models for the Taliban and i have got them in too here recently. What i got was models from Khursan ,MJ models plus ill will be showing the rest of the Flytraps Taliban support cell set, beside the excellent rifles so far the best sculpt of the Lee riflemen out their that i have seen for the Taliban,.Also in the piks are some Old glory Miltia with Stingers and a KHursan model of one.One of the  things that surprises me that no one makesis a  15mm Cold War USA and a Taliban Stinger MANPADS operator/gunner model.But the Good people at MJ figs makes the kewlest range of assecories   15 mm weapons modern and ww2 type and one thing i did find was the British MAnpAds blowpipe system.So it looks like i will be doing some converting some models.http://mjfigures.co.uk/product-category/15mm/15mm-accessories/

         The next thing i am working one for them is assembling the weapons teams and weapons. So far i was running out of crew figs now that i have the support weapons that they will be using collected for the most part of it. i just would like to add a few more teams.

 TIl, next when i wll be showing some more new homemade terrain that i have been working on.Since i just recently purchased a used scroll saw and more Taliban updates and mmaybe a small battle report.  Wells  TAnks again...
   

Starting a Taliban Force for 15mm Cold war gone Hot

As the title states i been workig on putting together a Insurgent/ Terrorist force for are are home brew Cold war game. Why is called a Homebrew because we are using 3 rules sets, FOW NAm, Team YAnkee and The Stopping the Red Tide rules.
 Since my options for Taliban figs are limited kinda. I decided to go with Fly trap Factory,http://www.flytrapfactory.com/

  So i have half assed worked the rules and force org. i loosely based them off of the NVA forces from the NAm intel boooks.
   So here is a few piks of the models i am currently basing, nxt i will post piks of the weapons teams and the basing and some of the rules we are using.As for points we kinda threw them out the door but may just end up using the NVA points  for them.

As for the moment the models in  the piks are khurasan and fly trap. Flytraps are the rounded bases FYI. both  companies scupts were excellent and a extra shout out to Khursan for the replacements for some of my peanut head USa weapon teams.My next post will also have the other 2 squads from MJ figs.  tanks for checking it out
 

Cold War Command Vehicle

I bought the BAnnons Boyz  Starter set and as a bonus the set come with a M113 hHQ objective.
  Since i was kinda liking the look  of the APC ,i went a ahead and bought the NAm undeployed version  as a HQ command Vehicle.
 With alittle converson work i have my Command APc for my MECh infan

try.
 As for the objective model i will be using it for a command for my 155  SP  guns.
  here is the piks of of the model blister contents and after piks of my conversion.
Overall i was happy with the model all of the contents were included and the sculpt was free bad flash,

Seal Team for TEam Yankee,Rebels Minis review US Special forces.

Well i Kinda gave up on the 28mm Models, i guess i couldnt get back into the scale.I think i got the 15mm bug worse than i thought.
  So switched over to 15mm Bolt action. Which was easy to because i already a decent amount of left over models from Flames of War. Here in the future i will post some piks of the forces.
 I also got a good deal on a indoor outdoor fake grass mat that is now the new grounfd for gaming table i got a good deal i think a 9x6 for 36 dollars at my local farm supply store.I think i looks great,especialy better than the old house carpet that i was using. But the price was rite. I garbage pick it from a friends house.So it didnt smell like Cat pee.
 Now n to what i have been currently working on. Since we were getting a little burned out.We decieded to start playing our House version of Team Yankee.
  So far i dont have alot but we got three players. Me USa Mech infantry,A Soviet Air assault player and a Insurgent,Militia, ISIS type of Force also. For them we are just going to be porting over alot of the VIetcong rules.
  Also Why House rule style.Alot of the rules and units not included in the TEam YAnkee rule will be ported over from other settings in particular the NAm rules alittle modded for example.Also for points it will be what me and fellow players call good enough ? look good too you agreement.So no points system for now.
  ere is one of my USa Platoons i been  fiddling with here lately is the USa special forces set from rebel mini.The rifles looked more like m16s than m5 or m 4 carbines

  I bought the platoon pack heavy weapons and the Sniper pack.
    The Platoon packs has a assortment of weapons, Shot gun, Smg and rifles.Weapons pack have the At 4, Stinger and SAW. Sniper pack has the standerd Bolt action rifle and one of my favs the BArret 50 cal. and yes the Seal teams have been known to use the Stinger and At4
 As for rules i will just be porting the SEAL rules over from Brown Water NAvy.  But one of the kewl
things i will be doing here soon is buying 4 Loach/Little Bird Choppers for them as transport,Heck i may  even build 2 more little birds and turn them into gunships so the can hane their own dedicated Air support.

Overall the models from rebel were clean from excess flash, the mold lines were very little and also a good price.
Overall very good crisp looking sculpts i would recommend theese models for a gamer who i looking for a product like this for their games.Also scale up nice next to Peter pigs AK 47 range and Old Glory Command decision.

Bolt action TD and Sherman

Well i have been working on myAmerican armor for BA, First was my M10 next i started on my Sherman 75mm that is currently Wip conversion project to be up gunned to a 105mm.Using the gun from my Rubicon Sherman kit,
  After the American time to Start on my GErmans.

Well this was the last of the 15mm Flames of war models that i finished even thought i still need to finish a few of them up.
   As for my next project will be MW American PAras the i have been very slowly building up. The reason why is the OP mw paras are someof the hardest modeks for me to find.
  Next post will feature some of the Bolt Action models i have building and PAinting.I am currently building a Ranger and a Waffen SS forces.
 
Also i finally got off my company of heros kick and now it is Call to Arms and Men of war Assault 2 , So if you are steam hit me up for a game sometime.Even though at the i stink at call to arms.
